Relationships can become places where we feel hurt, disconnected, lonely, or stuck in painful patterns that seem difficult to change.
You may find yourselves having the same arguments repeatedly, struggling to communicate, feeling emotionally distant, or uncertain about whether the relationship can move forward. Sometimes trust has been damaged, intimacy has changed, or life transitions have placed pressure on the relationship in ways that feel overwhelming.
Couples therapy offers a space to slow these patterns down and begin to understand what may be happening beneath them.
I work in an integrative and relational way, drawing on different therapeutic approaches depending on the needs of each couple. My role is not to take sides or decide who is “right,” but to support a more honest, constructive, and emotionally safe dialogue between you.
Together, we explore:
-
Communication difficulties
-
Recurring conflict patterns
-
Emotional disconnection
-
Trust, betrayal, or affairs
-
Intimacy and closeness
-
Life transitions and relationship stress
-
Questions around separation or staying together
What can couples therapy offer?
Couples therapy can bring up strong emotions, especially when both partners are feeling hurt, unheard, or misunderstood. I aim to offer a calm, non-judgmental space where each person has room to speak openly and feel listened to.
The process is not about assigning blame, but about developing a greater understanding of the emotional and relational patterns that may be keeping you stuck.
Therapy can help couples:
-
communicate more openly and safely
-
understand recurring emotional reactions
-
rebuild trust and connection
-
navigate conflict more constructively
-
clarify the future of the relationship
We begin with a free 20–30 minute consultation to briefly discuss what brings you to therapy, answer any questions, and see whether working together feels right for you.
If you decide to continue with couples therapy, we would typically begin with one joint assessment, followed by one individual 1:1 session with each partner.
These sessions help me understand your relationship dynamics, personal histories, and what you hope to gain from therapy before we move into ongoing couples work.
