ALLA HOROSHENKOVA, MBACP
Therapy is a place to explore what is going on for you below the surface. I offer my warmth, compassion and genuine intention to understand your experiences, so that together we can work out what is the root of the matter.
My practice is relational, which means that I consider different therapeutic approaches in the context of your needs, and we can work out together what is most helpful and satisfying at this stage of your life. This process is not linear, but we will aim to formulate a way that is comfortable and effective for you. I can offer my experience in working in short-term and long-term therapy depending on the issues you wish to explore.
Having trained at an integrative school, a few approaches that I draw from are interpersonal/relational, psychodynamic, and existential. I am also familiar with the concepts of cognitive behavioural approaches, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.
I am a BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) registered member and work within the BACP ethical framework, which means I strive to create a non-judgmental and confidential environment, fully in the service of my client.
